Petit Valley/Diego Martin United (PVDMU) were crowned Trinidad and Tobago Super League (TTSL) – League Two champions in the final round of play in the TTSL’s second tier.
In what turned out to be an anti-climatic finale, PVDMU were awarded a 3-0 win over Harlem Strikers after the central based team forfeited the match after they failed to take the field at the time of kick-off.
That victory, coupled with Prisons FC 1-0 away loss to Youth Stars paved the way for PVDMU to claim the League Two trophy with 23 points as well as the coveted second promotion spot.
In the previous round, Prisons FC defeated PVDMU 4-2 in an exciting clash at YTC (Arouca) to be the first team awarded promotion to League One.
In the other match in the final round, kick off was postponed between Marabella FCC and Perseverance Ball Runners.
Central 500 Spartans, which were on a bye, moved to third in the league standings (21 points), but could possibly take some consolation from the fact that captain and midfield general Donovan Derrick would almost certainly be awarded the golden boot title with 8 goals, alongside Kevon Woodley.
