TWO BIG CANNONS JOIN CANADIAN PREMIER LEAGUE

FC Santa Rosa players Akeem Garcia and Andre Rampersad have joined Halifax FC of the new Canadian Premier League, where they will team up with Derek King, FC Santa Rosa’s 2018 Super League title winning coach.

Garcia (aged 22) and Rampersad (aged 23) will report to the Halifax training camp on 1 March to prepare for the season, which begins in May. They are the first Super League players to sign a professional contract with a foreign club.

Garcia joined Santa Rosa in August from W Connection F, while Rampersad joined the club as a fourteen year old and played his way through the age group ranks into the Big Cannons team.

Both players will be joined at Halifax by national goalkeeper Jan Michael Williams and fellow Arimian Elton John, who was also briefly a Santa Rosa age group player and played part of the 2018 TTSL season with QPCC.
